NIMAX cna not open to see NI-4060

To NET,

I have recently installed a NI-4060 DMM card in a PC with operating SO
98, the proplem I have is : at the first time when I put the card in,
the 98 will recongnized the card, and the NIMAX could see it, then I
could configure it there, soft penal works fine too. After the
computer shut off, next time if I restart it again, the NIMAX would
not see the card again, it would said: fatal OE happen, at
0028:00FAF0000, every thing frozen then, why it works every time if I
put the card as new install? and won't work after power off, and
reboot?I would appreciate any help from you.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for using the Developer Zone.
The description above indicates that probably you have a problem with the installation of the driver. Let's make sure that you have the latest drivers installed.
NI-DAQ 6.9.1
NI-VISA 2.5.2
IVI-ENGINE 1.83
NI-DMM 1.6
First - Remove the card from the computer.
Second - Remove all NI drivers you have installed in your computer.
Third - Install the new drivers in the order I have listed above
Fourth - Reinstall the card in the computer in another PCI slot.
If you still experience the problem try another computer and contact the National Instruments Technical support.
If you need to contact the NI technical Support go to the page: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niae_asc.main and select "Call NI Engineers" to
create a Service Request Number.

To the net,

Now, my NI-4060 card is working fine now. After a lot of trying, even
I had to reformated the hard drive , and with new 98 installed, the
device NI-4060 was not working the first time had the same symptom as
I described as the first message. Some one in my work place here
suggested there my be a PCI bus conflit, so, I pull off all the PCI
cards off, and put the NI-4060 fisrt, and eventually put one after
one, the last one I didn't put it back is the PCMCIA card, so I guess
that my be the problem. Just want to share the expeience here.
