NI USB-8472

Solved!

Vielen Dank

Hi Mirmic,

this is English speaking forum.
When writing your questions in German, try to use German NI Forum page, where you can reach bigger audience.

You can also express your questions in English here.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm bi newcomer and have been working with labview since april, i have a ni usb-8472 adapter and would like to send and receive telegrams. I have the NI-Can installed, but I can not communicate with Labview. The adapter always has 5 V at pin 2 and 0 V at pin 7.
I tried configuring the adapter with Device Manager and NI Max, but to no avail.
Can someone help me how to configure the adapter and then implement it in Labview?
I would like to send test telegrams to a candidate and answer them

Many thanks

Hi,

thanks for updating this into English.

Regarding your issue, I found similar post about the same CAN card, which can point you to solution of your issue:
https://forums.ni.com/t5/Industrial-Communications/NI-USB-8472-CAN-communication/td-p/3578061

The voltage on your pins is correct, PIN 7 is for High-speed CAN, while your card is Low-speed (voltage on PIN 2)
You can also check NI CAN SW and HW manual on the following link:http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/370289t.pdf

Hope this helps.
