NI Reports

Hi. It is possible to allign the column headers of a table to the columns
of table when
using NI Reports to print text table?
Thank for any helps.

I've only been using the NI Reports functions for a few days, but maybe I
can help.

The Ni Reports functions create "tables" by writing text entries of the
table with "tab" characters in between. If you find that your column
headings are not lining up correctly with the columns they describe, try
adding one or more blank entries to the beginning of the array of column
headings.

I've been able to always make the tables line up properly, but sometimes it
is a bit of a challenge. Let me know if you have any more questions!

At first, you need a ruler 🙂
To allign the columns, you should use the 'column width' input of the VI.
For example, if you have 5 columns
to print and the lenght of the line is 20 cm. then wire the input with '4
cm'. However, if one of the table entry
exceeds that length, ie 4cm., the VI adds one more tab to the end of that
entry and therefore the allignment would not be as you expect. Column
headers also fit to the specified area except that their lengths are longer
than the specified 'column width'.
