NI-MAX, Windows 10 64 bit compatibility

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm planning my (forced) migration to Windows 10 this summer for my PXI chassis and noted that NI-MAX 15.0 is not currently compatible with Windows 10, 64-bit OS (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/52818/en/). Has anyone heard any news on when/if NI will produce a compatible NI-MAX or remember historically how long NI has taken based on past Windows versions?

It runs just fine on my Windows 10 x64.  Of course, I'm running LabVIEW 2015 (32-bit) -- LabVIEW 64-bit is, I believe, "dicey" on a lot of systems ...

Thanks for the response--I was confused by the two columns of 64 bit OS. With your clarification, I understand that NI-MAX is 32 bit and version 15.0 will run on Win 10 (32 or 64 bit). I'm not looking for a 64-bit version of MAX--kinda silly.

Thanks Bob. We explored switching to 64-bit LV in 2013 and read alot of "dicey" comments back then. We decided that our LV apps didn't need the extra memory, so we stuck with 32-bit to be more "main stream".
