NI-IMAQ 4.6.4: IMAQ Start.vi causes reinitialization

Bug Report:

In NI-IMAQ 4.6.4, the IMAQ Start.vi causes the camera to reinitialize to the settings in MAX.  This is a change from previous versions of NI-IMAQ, and it is undesirable.

The camera should initialize to the default sessions when the IMAQ session is created.  However, in our application we need to send commands to the camera to change it's operating mode (free-running vs. external trigger) and we do not want those settings to change back when acquisition starts.  We have made a temporary work-around by creating a de-featured version of the camera file that does not have knowledge of these settings, so that those settings cannot be changed back when the camera re-initializes.  However, this is undesirable, because it then makes the camera functions of MAX not as useful.

Platform:  NI-IMAQ 4.6.4, Labview 2011 (32-bit), Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

Could you possibly post the code or a simplified version of the code that shows the behavior you are experiencing? The behavior of the VI should not change from version to version. If I can reproduce the behavior we may have a fix or a workaround for it.
