NI Driver for Ametek / Solartron / Modulab XM MTS

Hi All,

I am quite new to Labview programming and have some questions regarding the NI driver for the Modulab XM MTS machine from Solatron / Ametek. 

The machine is this one https://www.ameteksi.com/products/materials-testing-systems/modulab-xm-mts.

Does anyone know how to get the driver for this machine? The one I am using (Rev 3.0, 1 Feb 2017) has a problem with reading the output data, even though, it does its job well. So I couldn't get any data from the measurement.  

I have emailed Ametek about it but still don't get any responses yet about it.

Any suggestion would be very appreciated.

So we do not specifically make drivers for all machines.

We offer some third party drivers that you can search for and download here:

*Note if the links do not work, try web searching for National Instruments Instrument Driver Network. 

If you do not find your driver on the Instrument Driver Network, then you will need to get the driver from the instrument vendor. Once you receive the driver for the instrument, this article will explain how to install it into LabVIEW:

If you do not receive a driver, you could try the NI-VISA driver. I recommend this one since the instrument communicates through Ethernet-100. However, this would mean that the device is able to run VISA. Check to make sure the instrument is compliant with the VISA standard with the vendor.

Hi,

I am trying to use Modulab(Solartron) with a NI set up.  

Did you manage to control the Modulab through National Instruments Labview?  

I found a number of "drivers" for Solartron but not a Modulab.  Do you control via a "generic" ethernet connection" or something similar?  The Modulab has a ethernet connection as well as "control inputs" and control outputs" on the back of the box.
