NI DAQmx Base C Programs

I'm trying to run one of the example programs that came along with the NI DAQmx Base 3.4 version.

The program gets stuck at the following function :  DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseStartTask(taskHandle));

What is the device you have installed in your system? What is the device alias on the same?
