Greetings all; Is there any way to ask NI-DAQ or LabView the current state of an output analog channel? For example, if I have one vi that has set the port to 5.0 V, and another needs to apply 7.5 V without rapid voltage changes that would occur by a simple write (and possible damage to my external voltage-controlled positioner) : the second vi could ramp the voltage at a pre-determined rate. later, the first vi could regain control by gradually dropping the voltage as required. This is obviously easy with global varables, but in the case of mixed programming (LabView and NI-DAQ) such cooperation is not trivial. Shared memory comes to mind under Win95 ...
