NI DAQ High Current Output

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am looking for a NI DAQ that is capable of minimum 50mA output with 2 AO and 4 AI.

Interface must be using USB. Can also consider other type of interface such as PCI subjected to product cost.

Can I please know if there is any such device from NI ?

Thanks.

Regards,

Vikash

Hi Vikash,

why don't you call your local NI sales team?

Do you want to output analog voltages to drive sinks with currents higher than 50mA? Surely it will be easier to use some external amplifier circuits…

Best regards,

I have emailed them and awaiting response.

I don't wish to use an external amplifier as I need to use an additional power supply for the amplifier circuit. I have already developed an amplifier circuit which I am current using . I am trying to replace my amplifier circuit with a DAQ device.

Prepare for following questions:

Output Voltage range?

Bandwidth?

Resolution/Noise?

Ri?

Hi Vikash,

I have emailed them and awaiting response.

Give them a call to get immediate response…

With USB you are limited to 2.5W (5V/500mA) power supply of your complete USB DAQ device. Which voltage/power do you need when you want to drive more then 50mA?

Most likely you will need an external power supply anyway.

But again: call NI and ask them. They know their portfolio best (or should atleast)…

Best regards,
GerdW

Output Voltage range  -  7Vrms

Bandwidth - 450KHz

Resolution/Noise?  -  16bit

Ri?

No idea about noise and Ri.
