Multiple vectors on 3d plot

I'm trying to generate a 3D plot of current profile data. The plot I am interested in looks like a tree. The trunk runs from the mudline to the sea surface and the brances are the vectors. The plot on the top left is an example of my objective http://www.sdcoos.ucsd.edu/data/current_data_IB.cfm. I'm receiveing data in txt files. I was trying to accomplish this by plotting two points to form a vector. (0,0,0) & (0,0,3000) is the first vector for the trunk. All other vectors would stem from the trunk at different elevatioins. I just want to know how I can plot multiple vectors without them being attached on one plot.

In reply #7 of this thred

I present an example and in post #8 I show you how to add plots.

Use one plot for the trunk and unique plots for all of the branches.

Please post your final solution to help others in the future. Smiley Happy

Thanks Ben, I noticed that post when searching through the threads.
Your diagram is a little intimiating to a beginner, but I think it is a much
better way to treat this issue. Until I have figured your diagram out, I have
developed a temp. solution.
