Moving On-text/Off-text on a Boolean control

Solved!
Go to solution

Does anyone know how to move the On-text or the 'Off state' text of a Boolean control to the bottom left-hand corner of the control?  For example - if you resize the control on the front panel to say 204X204 pixels then try to move the text to any other location but center.  I have tried to 'Justify' the text without success.  Thank you, John

I know! I know!

I guess you want me to tell you, huh?

Well, you have to customize the control. Right-Click, Advanced -> Customize. Then you can move the individual parts. Check the LabVIEW Help. It explains it.

To just move the text, right click on the control and select 'Release Text'.

Then what do you do?  I have tried both suggestions...  Customizing and Releasing the text.  Any attempt to move the text, justify it, or whatever, doesn't move it to another part of the control.  What am I missing here?

OK, now I'm confused. What do you mean move it to another part of the control?

I attached a Word document with screen-shot of what I am trying to do.  Thank you for you help and prompt reply!  John

After releasing the text, you simply have to select it and drag it to a new location. It might be easier if you turned off the auto-tool selection.

edit: Dennis beat me to it. The key is the selection tool.

Thank you!  Removing the auto-tool and customizing worked.  Well done! 😉
