Hi All,
I have been asked to specify the level of compression performed by Motion JPEG (NI Vision). I can't find the details of the codec anywhere.
Can anyone point me to the details of the Motion JPEG (NI Vision) codec?
Thanks,
Seán

If you are creating an AVI file, you can use IMAQ AVI2 Create.
You can specify the codec and the quality.

Hi Zou,
That is what I did and I selected MJPEG (NI VISION). I would like to know the details of the codec, e.g. what is the compression level, etc.
Rgds,
Seán

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information here. I looked at one of my IP Cameras, and found a Camera Attribute called JPEG Compression, set to a default value of 30. I have not played with this to see what it does, either to image quality or image size. Note that this (I think) is "within-frame" compression -- there is also "between-frame" compression ...
