Microsoft Lync opens when I communiate with instrument

Hello,

I am using Labview 4 which we need to because upgrading all the VI's would be difficult.  Recently our IT opted to install Microsoft Lync - which is an instant messaging client.  Now when I open the Measurement & Automation Explorer and attempt to communicate with devices Microsoft Lync opens - as opposed to a window where I can send commands.  I would rather have Labview than Microsoft Lync so uninstalling that is an option,  but if there is some setting I can change that would preferable.

OS Micosoft Windows XP.

Hello pbh,

This is definitely a weird issue, you may try uninstalling Lync, reboot the PC and install it again to see if the behavior continues.

Did you try my suggestion of uninstall the MS lync reboot the PC and install it again to see if you get the same behavior
