I am trying to get a Prosilica GE680 to work in MAX. When I click on Snap/Grab I get the error message

IMAQ error

Error 0xBFF6901B

Timeout

Does anyone have an idea of what could be the cause of this error? The same error code appears when I try to run the camera in LabView.

Hi Allan,

I believe that the timeout error is either caused by the firewall or that you haven't installed the High Performance driver for your Ethernet card. How to install it is described in the lower part of the following document: Troubleshooting GigE Vision Cameras

You were right, it was the firewall that was on. I had only put MAX and LabView as exceptions to the firewall, but apparently that wasn't enough. After turning the firewall off it seems to be working just fine.
