Manual PWM output using GPIO on myRIO

Hello, As far as I know, myRio 1950 contains only 6 PWM pins. I need to use more PWM signals in my project and wanted to know if there is any means that I can configure general digital pins to PWM. if not, would be there any big problem if I tried to manually implement the PWM signal generation by turning on and off a normal digital pins fast enough to create PWM signal ?

Easy alternative would be to use an external PWM generator chip like https://www.adafruit.com/product/815

You can use the FPGA to generate the PWM from the DIO. I extensively use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) IP Core for LabVIEW FPGA to generate PWM with an R Series device.
