MS-dos command- "echo" in system exce.VI

Hi there,

I have a question about using system exce.vi to excecute a MS-dos command "echo" when I try to run " echo hello" I got "labview memory is full, NI 488 detect no listener"

attached is my code, any one can let me know the reason, thanks,

As far as I know, you must precede the DOS command you want to use with cmd /c (it lists this in the help file for the System Exec VI). So the string you would use would be "cmd /c echo hello" -- at the very least, this worked for me. I have zero experience with this VI, however.
