MAX PXITimeout

I installed LabVIEW2012 full development system on my new Laptop TOSHIBA 850, WIN8, from evaluation DVD without problems.When I start MAX 5.3.3 the attached errormessage PXITimeout shows up after long waiting period. No HW connected to the PC. MAX hangs and is not operable. it is switched off by task manager. There is no further help at ni.com/info. Various reinstallation attempts gave no success.

Would highly aprreciate helping advice.

Hi poesel,

are you sure your installed version is 5.3.3? In your TXT-file version 5.3.0.49152 of NIMax.exe is specified. This whitepaper:

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14281/en

indicates, that MAX works only in version 5.3.3 (or later) with win 8.

If you are sure you're using the right version, could you please post the "extended" MAXReport (HTML-file)?

Hi,

another thing what caught my eye is: the version of your DAQmx driver is 9.5.5f4. As the link I sent you shows, you need at least version 9.6.

I recommend you to update all installations, drivers etc.. In you (LabVIEW) startup screen: Help>>Check for updates.
