Log in to activate results in connection error pop up

Hi there,
I'm trying activate my freshly installed LabVIEW on my laptop. I got to the stage where I need to log into my NI account. However, whenever I hit the button "log in to activate" on the user interface, a pop-up appears saying "Connection error. Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, contact NI support." My internet connection is working fine. Has anyone had this issue before and can help me?

Thank you!

Not sure if this will help this particular issue, but when I have problems activating NI software, I log into NI.com on a browser before I try to activate.  Hopefully that will work for your issue as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't help...

I haven't had this problem recently, but there is an alternative way to activate, the details of which I don't recall, but involved calling NI and working with a Support Engineer to carry out the process.

Thanks for your reply. I solved the issue which was that LabView wasn't compatible with Windows 8 which was on my laptop. I upgraded to Windows 10 and now the problem is solved.
