but seriously, i suppose the .vi displaying the rich-textbox must be excuted

also, the formatting in the rich-text box does differ (a little bit) from the formatting in ms word

couldn't you just open the document in ms word or libre office writer?

Do you need an application that looks like the work document? Or do you actually need the application to adapt to the word document, without changing the code?

Both situations are completely different. If you just want a GUI to look like the work document, I'd make it with LabVIEW controls, indicators and decorations. If not, well, I don't think there is a perfect solution... Then we'd need more details on the exact requirements.
