Labview program stops after computer with Windows ME has run for one hour

Hope to get help on this strange problem.

I have a Labview program (run time version executable) running on a portable
(Dell Inspiron 4000 with Windows ME) which collects data and stores these to
a file. When I start up the portable and then start my Labview program, the
program fails to work correctly exactly one hour after the portable has been
started (the Labview program stops collecting and displaying new data, it
further remains active). If I start this Labview program just after that the
portable has already been active for one hour, the program is not
interrupted at all and continues to run for hours without any problems.

I have switched off all power management, screen s
avers etc. to avoid that
these may be the source of the problem, but without success. I have also
even run a test with canceling practically all tasks using Ctrl-Alt-Del
(apart from explorer and systray) but also this without success.

I have run the same Labview program without any problems on a different
Windows ME system. Also on Win98 or 95 systems I have observed no problems.
Does anyone have a tip to which program or process could be activated in
Windows ME exactly one hour after the computer has started up (I also made a
test by blocking the Windows ME restore facility but also this without
success).

Thanks in advance,

Martien

As per your computer spec states
[Power Management
Suspend-to-RAM mode
Suspend-to-disk mode
Stand-by mode (turns off LED and HDD)
]

the first feature could be the problem, as long as it's not an usual one like HDD suspend.

Thanks for the reply.

As far as I know I have switched off all power management features, but the
problem remains. Do you or someone else happen to know a program which logs
all windows activities which could show me which program gets activated
after
the computer is switched on for one hour ?
