Hi ds1,

Here is the list of Bug Fixes for 2011 SP1: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/13614

Although this particular CAR has not been listed we have had feedback from some customers suggesting that the problem has been resolved in 2011 SP1.

Please let us know of your own experiences and we will add it to the documentation of this CAR.

Kind regards,

I'm a little shocked by this response!

So has this not been checked by NI and you are waiting for customers to do so?

This is definitely not the case and never has been. Each Bug Fix is fully tested by NI against the original CAR before it is documented and published along with the release. The 2011 SP1 Bug Fixes list (linked above) does not officially mention that this CAR has been fixed however some customers have said that they no longer experience the problem as a result of an upgrade to 2011 SP1. This could be due to other fixes however we cannot fully guarantee that the issue has been resolved until it appears in the Bug Fix List.

I hope this answers your question more clearly.

Thanks for the response/explanation. However it is described it amounts to the same thing. We have no way of knowing if it is fixed unless we install and check it out ourselves.

This CAR was not targeted for fixing in this version and is still marked for investigation by NI R&D for future releases.
