LabView Community Edition 2021 activation issue and workaround (downgrade to 2020 SP1)

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

the title says it all: I have not been able to activate the 2021 version, despite following all the suggestions posted on the forum (e.g. deactivating ipv6, firewalls, and switching networks). I only managed to get an installation working by deleting everything and installing the 2020 SP1 version.

posting this for others with the same issue (also see https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/LVCE-activation-issue-again-despite-following-all-forum/m-p/4173596...).

Best,

tb

Please elaborate: 1. What do you mean by "delete everything"? 2. As for the final result did you manage eventually to activate the 2021 version or had to settle for 2020SP1? I have 2020SP1 installed and working but can't activate 2021.

Same problem here. I have the 2020 SP1 community edition installed and activated and working fine. Just installed the 2021 community edition but cannot activate it.

with "delete everything" i meant "i used the package manager to remove all installed packages" prior to installing the 2020 SP1 version.

I have not managed to activate the 2021 version in the end. I settled for 2020 SP1.
