I tried saving a previous version with no success. I guess the VI server still needs to load the block diagram first - and eventually crashes doing so.

As for backup: I had a little script tool already that just copies and timetags the project files to an backup older. Nothing fancy, but will do for now 🙂 Feel free to use it ...
