LabVIEW subscription model for 2022

Solved!

Ahmed,

Just for my clarification you are saying there is a current promo where I can buy 2024 LabVIEW Professional with a perpetual license for $2750? And is there an option to add on some sort of SSP or would I have to pay another $2750 for 2025 LabVIEW?

No, if you have an existing LabVIEW Pro perpetual license, then you can renew your SSP subscription at a price near the subscription level.

But if you no longer have your perpetual license, you can request a quote for a perpetual license on ni.com/labview. The quote will be using the price list but discounting is also available to meet your needs.

This is only an temporary measure while we update our pricing and packaging and announce across channels.

Kudos this if you feel like you can trust NI's communications about pricing / subscriptions.

Kudos this if you feel like you can NOT trust NI's communications about pricing / subscriptions.

How was that saying again?

In business, don't trust anyone further than you can throw your dollar.

Or something along those lines 😁

I do wonder if we ever had a thread on this forum that got even remotely as long as this one. As far as I remember not even Alpha managed to cause that. 😎

I even made a post on LAVA about him. He hasn't logged in since 2010, and no thread he made there went this long. The longest was 25 pages, which is quite long for LAVA where we see much less traffic than NI.

With the talk of hidden LabVIEW discounts and haggling for for the best price, I'm kind of excited. Having fixed pricing is never actually the case with anything. I am a haggler to the core so explicitly opening that door is great!

Myself, I don't believe a price for the same service should depend on your ability to sweet-talk a salesman.

I requested a quote for perpetual license, it came as 14k CAD. Where the 2750 came from ?

That's full price. You should ask for discounts and the team will share with you. If you don't get to a price point suitable for your budget, please reach out to me to help. The $2,750 is the subscription price.
