I am trying to use the OPC example 'Browse to OPC Item.vi' to get the URL of a tag in a RSView32 OPC Tag server. When I navigate to and (single) click on a tag in the 'Select URL Path' window, the vi appears to stop running, ie, the run button changes back to the stopped state, but the 'Select URL Path' window stays open. The Url text indicator in the vi is empty. If I now click OK in the browse window LabView crashes. I have attached the file containing the MS error report.
I have tried to connect to the server using the NI Server Explorer and get the error "RPC server not available", however connecting using MMIs' OPC Explorer seems to work fine and ICONICS' Dr. DCOM connects and indicates
that the server is compatiple with OPC v1.0 and v2.0.
Any ideas?
