LabVIEW Report Generation toolkit inserts strings into excel, but I can't carry out a mathematic function in Excel

I use LabVIEW 6.1 MS Report Toolkit 1.0.1 and excel97.
I had find that "Easy Excel Table.vi" puts strings or numbers into the cells of excel.

Now I can write numeric numbers into excel with this vi. But I can't carry out a mathematic function (for example a sum or a differenc)in Excel. When I make a double click in each cell, then is it ok!

Is this a problem of the number format? But i think the "Easy Excel Table.vi" is a polymorphic vi?

Can anyone help with this please ?
Thanks

Hi,

I'm using LV6.0.1, and it works ok.

E.g. I can put '=AVERAGE(F12:F13)' in a string (without the two '), and the
average is calculated.

The sum of sells will be '=A1+B1'. I use STDEV, MIN, MAX and AVERAGE, and
they all work fine.

Regards,

Wiebe.

I know this is an old thread but I'm taking a chance.  Basically I got the same problem about mathematical function when I write data to an excel workbook.  I use LV 8.6 and Excel 2000.  I have to double click in each cell in order to get the SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE, etc. to work.  Otherwise it does not update the result which stays to zero.

Any ideas ?

Thx

PS. You can unzip the file to try the multiple VIs.
