LabVIEW Error -2501 Executable on Win 7

We have an application (written in  LabVIEW 2013) which runs fine on Windows 7 and beyond, except at one customer site, where it generates a Error -2501 TDMS error when hitting the "Measure" button on the application, after which the application hangs. The application with installer is downloadable as noiseLAB Capture 4.0.4 from the following site:

The particular customer uses Norton virus scan (have tried turning it off) and has also a Power Uninstaller on his machine.  We have run the program both as normal user and Administrator, without success.  The machine also has VA-SLM from BSWA and perhaps some other LabVIEW developed software on the machine. 

Has anyone else seen issues of this nature...

Are you closing the file reference before actually using it?  Do a search on Google for "Labview Error 2501".  Lots of posts on what might be causing this.

Yes, I close the Ref, that is the most obvious cause, and the reason I ask in a wider forum is that it is only on one particular machine that the executable has this issue.  It runs fine on all other Win 7 through 10 machines.
