LabVIEW 8 Installation

Hello LV friends.

After installation of LabVIEW 8.0 on my PC, I can´t start all my previous executables, build with LV 7.0 and LV 7.1 They don´t run on the same PC! Also after reinstallation with installer of LV 7.1 (and RunTimeEngine) takes no effect. Everytime I like to start one of my applications, an error message appears:
"Executable version (7.1.1) doesn´t match resource file (7.1). Check your configuration."

Any help or ideas?

Hello!

I have found a potentially solution, please try it with LV 8:

This problem is most likely due to a corrupted or incomplete LabVIEW 7.1.1 Run-Time Engine installation. Since the Run-Time Engine is needed to run LabVIEW executables, this installation will have to be repaired. To repair the LabVIEW 7.1.1 Run-Time Engine, complete the following steps:
  1. Go to Add or Remove Programs
  2. Select National Instruments Software and click Change
  3. In the National Instruments Software dialog window that appears select NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1 and click Repair
Note: In Measurement & Automation Explorer the LabVIEW Run-time Engine 7.1.1 will not appear under the Software folder. To verify that the software is installed check under National Instruments Software in Add or Remove Programs.

One way this can occur is when creating installers using LabVIEW Application Builder that include the Run-Time Engine. If the installer is created from LabVIEW 7.1 and then run on a machine with LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1 it will corrupt the already installed Run-Time Engine. The Run-Time Engine can be repaired as described above. In addition you should upgrade the development environment to LabVIEW 7.1.1 and recreate the installer to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
