LabVIEW 2020 64bit Win10 Crash

Solved!
Go to solution

I accidentally stumbled on this workflow while trying out some LV2020 features. I normally do not use it.

Steps:

  1. Open LV2020
  2. In LabVIEW 2020 Window click Create Project and select Blank Project - Untitled Project 1 is created and opened in Project Explorer
  3. Right-click on My Computer, select New/Class and click OK in New Class Window. Class 1 is created
  4. Right-click on Project: Untitled Project 1 entry in Project Explorer, select New/Other Files/Class in New window and click OK
  5. LabVIEW crashes with a puff of smoke without even opening LabVIEW Crash Reporter ...
  6. Same step sequence done in LV2019 SP1 64 bit works just fine

Thanks for reporting this, Dmitry!

I have reproduced it in my side with LabVIEW 2020 (32-bits) and have filed Bug 1078977 for the appropriate team to address it.

All the best,
