LabVIEW 2019 32bit failed to start on Windows 10 Pro

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I just installed LabVIEW 2019 on my Windows 10 Pro and it doesn't start.

No failure message or anything.

LabVIEW 2018 32bit works without any issues.

Thanks for help in advance

Hard to tell from the limited description.

  • Did you reboot after installation?
  • Did you install just plain LabVIEW or also drivers, modules, toolkits, etc.
  • Are you running any unusual antivirus or security software?
  • How long did you wait after clicking the exe?
  • Anything in the system log or task manager?

  • Did you reboot after installation? Yes I rebooted a few times
  • Did you install just plain LabVIEW or also drivers, modules, toolkits, etc. I installed LabVIEW 2019, JKI VI Package Manager, NI-DAQmx, NI-488.2, NI-Visa, NI-Serial, PXI Platform Services
  • Are you running any unusual antivirus or security software? No security or antivirus is installed
  • How long did you wait after clicking the exe? I tried a few times and waited 1-5 min
  • Anything in the system log or task manager? nothing unusual recognized

Thank you so far

Can you run MAX?  If so, run MAX, choose the "Software" tab, and take a Screen Shot showing the Software that MAX sees on your machine.  In addition, click the Start button, type "Services" in the Search windows to bring up the list of Windows Services, scroll down to see the 12-20 Services that start "NI XXX" and take a Screen Shot of this list.

The first Screen Shot will show us what MAX thinks is installed.  The second will show us if any important Service needed to run LabVIEW is "conspicuous by its absence".

P.S. -- can you also, please, start NIPM and let us know which version of NIPM you are running?  NIPM has been "improved" several times since NIPM 19.0 was released ...
