I amw orking on an automated LVCompare tool with customisable include / exclude functionality which goes beyond the usual options offered by the LVCompare invoke node. This requires some parsing of the description returned by the tool.
Although most return descriptions are easily doscoverable, I was wondering if there is a complete list somewhere of which parameters can be returned. I'm assuming that there are only three categories of parameters, Vi Attribute, Block Diagram and Front Panel?
I know there are many many nodes to which descriptions can behave, but I'm more interested in differences like "Font Changed" or "Size changed". It would be more efficient to code my filters if I knew what to expect instead of having to continuously probe LV for descriptions (forcing changes and testing).
For example, a good parameter to ignore is the
"VI Attribute - Miscellaneous
VI Version"
if the repository is still utilising code with mixed versions.
