LV7.0 and LV8.2 coexisting?

Yeah, Since Virtual PC is now free, it would be easy to create several virtual machines to handle the different versions. I've done that on OS X for generic LV programs, but not using the actual DAQ boards.

I wonder if you can talk to the DAQ boards from Virtual PC.

For what it's worth to anyone:

I installed Virtual PC 2004 on my machine and LabVIEW 8.2 on the virtual PC.

It does NOT see the hardware, and I see no way to get around that.

I have installed another copy of Win2000 on another partition on the same computer, and I expect that will work OK, however.

That's probably the best solution anyway.

Switching from one to the other is a re-boot away.

Even a second computer would be longer - I would have to shut down the first one, unplug boards, move them into the other computer and re boot it.
