LV6 Crashes when added a constant string

I created a VI that accepts a string. When I add the VI to a block diagram,
and right-click on the terminal with the wiring tool and select Create
Constant, LV crashes and is automatically terminated. Any ideas?

It is a wild guess but most crashes in labview come from either the video driver, solution update to the newest driver and hope, or from failuers in the editor since lv6 but these tend to generate insane errors before crashes occurr. I personally like the person that called these errors insane !

Deleting the string control from the sub-VI's front panel and then putting
it back fixed the problem. LV6 is not very reliable. Thanks...Ed

Two things come to mind that might remedy the situation:
1. Update to 6.0.2 if you haven't already.
2. Is the string control on the front panel VERY large, i.e. thousands of lines long? If so, try shrinking it to just 1 line.
