LV2020 Cannot Activate

Downloaded and installed LV2020 Community Edition. It will not activate. Cannot use liscense mgr or online activation tool.

Also NI Max will not run. Just hangs at initial splash screen.

I think you need to approach this as a failed installation.  Try to repair it from NI Package Manager.

Unfortunately, I downloaded and installed Community Edition when it was first released (3 weeks ago?), and while I remember that the Activation Procedure was "weird" (and, as I recall, didn't seem to work the first time), it did eventually activate.

A successful Activation looks like a year-long Evaluation, as the Community Edition needs to be reactivated annually.  For example:

Make sure the account you're trying to activate with is the same account which you were logged into when downloading LV2020 Community Edition. If it wasn't the same account (or even if it was), try starting the Community Edition download again (you don't have to download the whole thing again, just start the download then cancel it). Initiating the download seems to attach the Community Edition license to your account.

Hi,

I had the same problem. Logged in during de install of LV2020 but no activation no matter what I tried. Never had these problems before.

I mailed NI and they told my that I should try the activate in my products. Doing that I received a email with the activation code.

You have to do that for every single part of LV.

That can be some work. I hope it will be better next time !!!!

Activation stops at the NI User Account screen. Just does nothing.

Same thing happens if I try to activate through NI website.

Sometimes when you log into your acct using a browser, it makes it work.
