Knob Control with hex values for the scale

Yes, I can also confirm this to be be a bug in 8.2.1.
 
Another curiosity:
If you go to the "advanced editing mode", the %02x format (for example) is valid, but if you e.g. delete the x and then put it back, it claims the format is invalid . same for octal and binary formats.
 
Clearly a bug!

I am using 8.2 and the properties menu does not let me set a hex format for the knob scale

This was reported to R&D (# 4B9C05LJ) for further investigation.  The suggestion of creating a property node from the control and setting the scale->format property manually should be a good workaround for now.
