Keysight 34461A LabVIEW Communications Error

Hi All,

Having some difficulty getting a Keysight 34461A multimeter working with LabVIEW 2015. I'm using 3 of the same meters and the other 2 are working fine and communicating with LabVIEW. All 3 of them are showing up in MAX and I am able to communicate with them through the VISA Test Panel.

When I go back to LabVIEW, the unit in question won't even respond to a reset or initialize command sent from the relevant instrument driver VI. I've driver different USB cables and still seeing the same issue. This unit is only a few weeks old but is it possible there's issues with it? Any ideas on things I could try?

It might help to show some code, but it might be that you have connection issues.

Are the meters connected to the computer with USB, LAN, GPIB?  I've had issues with instruments dropping out of communication when the USB port goes into a low power mode.  It happened first while using a GPIB-USB-HS - http://www.ni.com/en-ca/support/model.gpib-usb-hs.html, then later a USB cable directly.

Try swapping usb ports with the one of the instruments that works. If it works in MAX it should work in LabVIEW too.
