Keithley 3706 set to thermocouple type j and hold the thermocouple type J.

Hello together,

i am using a Keithley 3706. In the Keithley slot is connected a measurement card 3720 with 3720-ST. ( The 3720-St is needed to connect thermocouples to the Keithley)

The issue is, if i set up the thermocouple type from K (K is Regular on Keithley 3706) to Type J. The Keithley does have a problem to hold the thermocouple type J.

In every loop he is jumping between type K and type J.

I upload a small example. I do not know where is my mistake.

Hi Apotec,

make sure, that you do not set Type-J and reset in each iteration. Most probably there lies the mistake.

Try to remove the other VISA write functions one-by-one to check, which resets your instrument.
