Installing LEGO NXT-G 1.1 or 2.0 on mac OSX 10.6

I have the same issue. It was working fine with Windows and no where close in Apple. I could find prefilght file. But, it is an executable file and saying can not be deleted. Hope some genius may help us!

LEGO has a Snow Leopard patch available since then... http://mindstorms.lego.com/en-us/support/files/default.aspx#Patches

make sure you have this and the Fantom driver applied http://mindstorms.lego.com/en-us/support/files/default.aspx#Driver

Truly appreciate your help. I tried in all th eways. But, No successs. Just few questions. 

1) Should I still try to remove inflight file? - Which I was unable to do

2) After installing, How do I initiate the program screen?

I am so waiting for help. Please....Any help is appreciated. I have down loaded LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT in my MAC. What exactly it did is It has added a folder in my applications. So, Wondering how to open a BRIC where we do programming!!!!!

Do what you can to remove the preflight file.  You'll need to have the program closed or you will get the error about not being able to remove the file.

As far as launching the programming screen, it should be just as easy as clicking on "start new program".

Any advice for getting to NXT ver 1.1?    I've got an older NXT and it's install disk I'm trying to get setup for a 9 yr old, that I haven't touched in years.   The brick still works, but the disk I have is 1.0 and I'm running OSX Lion.   The downloads on the lego site only refer to what to do if you have 1.1 NXT.   I tried them anyways, but without sucess.

You should try posting in the LEGO Mindstorms Forum as those forums are monitored by people more familiar with the software and who may have had similar issues.

Thanks, I phoned them, and they emailed me a download link for the NXT 2. software, working great now, happy 9yr old.

have not been able to launch the NXT software v2.0 f4.

after navagating to the "preflight" location, I do not have a preflight file.  I have a "postflight" file, but no preflight.

I install and go to launch, but everytime I get an error 1003 saying that a file is broken.

any clues or help would be greatly appreciated.
