Input String and Number block

Solved!
Go to solution

This is embarrassing.  I was just in a NI LabView presentation and they had an example VI that used a VI function that accepts a string and parses it based off of a token string.

So the example was…

If you had an input string of…

Value = 3

… and fed the VI function a token string of…

%s = %n

… the returned values from the block are a string and a numeric, “Value” and 3 respectfully.

Does anyone know where this VI function block is in the palates?

Thanks.

Look for SCAN FROM STRING - row 2, column 0 in the STRING function palette.

Except the "%n" won't work.  If you're looking for a decimal number, use "%d".  Consult the help for other options.
