Image from 16bit to 8bit/RGB

Hi all,

 

I have been using the Grab and Save to AVI from NI examples but it will not run for me.  My error is that my images are 16bit and the required images are either 8bit/RGB in order to be converted to avi.

 

How might I achieve this?  Please see screenshot. 🙂

did you try Imaq cast image?

I don't have that option open to me - I'm using LabVIEW 2008 if that helps?

After a bit of an Eureka! moment, a solution has been found. 🙂

 

The IMAQ Vision and Development module wasn't downloaded along with the other LabVIEW software.  Downloaded it and the IMAQ Cast Image vi (amongst others) popped up and now the program runs perfectly.
