Im using Ni-usb 6009 to measure the motor speed using labview/labwindows ..i want to calculate time between pulse to pulse ..pls help me how to do that .

Hi..

 

Here my aim to measure the motor speed in RPM using optical proxmity sensor..here im using Ni-USB 6009.Please help me how to measure it.

Hi saitej,

 

set up a DAQmx counter task and count the pulses. Then calculate the change of pulses per time interval…

 

Use the example finder to find a suitable example VI!

Start LabVIEW.  Click on Help.  Click "Find Examples ...".  In the Search box, type "Pulse".  Follow the directions.  Use your Common Sense to choose a few Examples to examine.  Read, study, and try out the examples.  Adapt them to suit your situation.

Before searching the examples, be sure to limit them to your hardware. You don't want to find something that won't work on the basic DAQ device that you have.
