Icon Question

I am making a stand-alone executionable using BUILD and want my own
icon.

I made up the icon but it appears it wants three versions,B and W,16
colours and 256 colours!
It only has room for one .ico file and so how do you load in three??

Hi,

An icon has the same format as a bitmap, only an icon (.ICO) can contain
more than one picture. Look at
http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/home/mxr/gfx/2d/BMP.txt for the file format of an
icon.

Regards,

Wiebe.

Thanks

but I have three icon editors and none of them refer to this.
They only make you save as a .ico file in one resolution.
You can create a library but I do not think that iswhat you
are talking about. Do you know any icon editors which save all
three formats at once the way you state?

You might try MicroAngelo. I usually find it by using a search engine.

Thanks

got it now!!

I think this could have been explained a little clearer by NI
as it does not seem to be the norm for icon packages.
