I recalled this topic coming up on the Info-LabVIEW listserv last year. There's a search engine for that listserv that a member set up here:

http://hannahsmac.magnet.fsu.edu/databases/infolabview_search.html

You have to be patient, but a search for "keypad" eventually turned this up this URL:

http://www.bettervi.com/Pages/free.htm

I see that there's a demo version and a "full" version of the numeric keypad VI available there, but it might be a good starting point for you.

Daz,

There are two VIs in the NI Developer Zone that were submitted by a third party. You can view them by going to: http://zone.ni.com/libraries/

Here you should go to LabVIEW>User Interface>General

You should find the two VIs towards the bottom of the page under "3rd Party Example Code".

I've used both of them, one's Alphnumeric and one is numeric and I thought they worked well and looked pretty nice.
