I am working on a vision application which is currently under testing. Most of the time everything works fine, but sometimes it gets stuck in "IMAQ Match Patter 4" VI. All other loops in LV keeps working correctly, just this VI is frozen. It can't be stopped by "Stop" VI nor by hitting "Abort Execution" button, only by killing LV process in Task Manager. It happens randomly and I am not able simulate it again while using exactly the same inputs.
I think, I have seen a bug report on that. Check your NI Vision version for it.
It is said, that IMAQ Match Pattern 4 freezes if you use 4 cores. The workaround is to set core usage to 1 before calling that VI and reset it afterwards to 4.
Sadly, I think this is not the case you mentioned. We are using Beckhoff IPC C6930-0060 with Intel®Core™ i7 (7700, 4 cores), but one core is reserved for virtual PLC and not even visible under Windows.
