IMAQ Find circular edge 3 : result Roundness

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

Can someone please explain me the meaning of the "Roundness" result of the vi IMAQ Find circular edge 3?

I know roundness definitions like MCC, MIC and MZC.
Is any of these related to that result?

I get results ranging from 0.1 to over 8 on several images but it's unclear to me how to interprete that result.

Thanks for your insights!

Best regards

Roundness or residual represents the least square error of the fitted circle to the entire set of points. 0 for perfect circle
