IMAQ 2.5.1 won't load on top of LabVIEW 6.0.2?

I'm trying to load IMAQ 2.5.1 onto my machine (laptop with Win2k) which already has IMAQ 2.21, and LabVIEW 6.0.2 (working beautifully, mass compiled and all that jazz). In the middle of the installation it requests the disk with lv60.msi on the LV6 installer disk.
I can insert the disk, point the installer to the correct file, but when it continues I get the error: "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product NI LabVIEW 6.0.2. The Windows installer cannot continue." Then it quits the install.
I've tried all the tricks I know and the KB doesn't have anything that I can find related to it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Guru,

Try this:

Unistall IMAQ. Then try reinstalling the new version. If that doesn't work then uninstall everything: LabVIEW, the upgrade, IMAQ, etc (in reverse of that order). Then install LV, 602up, and IMAQ 2.5.1. That should fix it.

Of course, you can always contact NI and wait for them to tell you the right way to do it, but I am certain that unistalling and starting over will do the trick.

Good luck
