IA Server Hangs when Asked to Open CCDB

Using a back up that was running previously, the IA Server is not communicating. (IA Server 2.2 patched for Windows 2000). When I use ServerExplorer and ask it to either 1) Open CCDB or 2) New CCDB, the program becomes unresponsive and must be closed with TaskManager. I tried re-installing IA Server and CCDB but still the same symptoms.

Hi Dana,
Thanks for contacting NI. I understand that Server Explorer hangs whenever you try to open or create a CCDB file. I have a few questions to help us resolve the issue:
1) What version of Server Explorer are you using?
2) In Server Explorer, do you see "OPCDemo" under your computer?
3) I am familiar with the IA OPC Server version 5.1, but I don't know what you mean by IA Server 2.2. Is this an NI product or a third party server?
4) What steps did you take when you re-installed the software, and what software was involved in the re-install?
5) What CCDB is it that you're trying to open when the hang occurs?
