LabVIEW has no built in indicators for wind direction but it is easy to modify a gauge to become a wind diretion indicator.
What you do is that you drag the scale to cover 360 degrees and rotate it so that you get an aligned scale. I used a scale of 0-12 to be compatibale with a clock. I attach my modified gauge as an attachment.
My indicator has north as 0 or 12, east as 3, south as 6 and east as 9. Any floating point number between 0-12 will give you the direction.
... well, there is no point in having east on the scale twice... 🙂 Sorry, that was just a typo in my answer above. My indicator indicates West for number 9 and east for number 3. /Mikael
