How to user NI VISA Clear call in .NET application

I have created .net application which uses visa32.dll for communcation with usb/serial/Gpib instruments.

 

My requirement is to clear input/output buffer before read/write opration.

 

My question is where should I user viClear call of visa32.dll.(Before write OR before Read OR after write, read and then clear)

Your say the requirement is to do a clear before the read/write operation and then you ask if your should do the clear before the read/write. Don't understand the question and don't understand what this has to do with LabVIEW.
