How to use AC coupling in NI-Scope 5122

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am using Ni-Scope 5122. Here i have a problem with using AC coupling. The error says that the valid values are DC coupling, HF reject.

But  the user manual of 5122 says that AC coupling can be used only if the input impedance is set to 1Mohm.

Even after setting the Input impedance of the 5122 to 1Mohm, the same error is comin.

waiting for some sollution,

What kind of error exactly do you get? Is there a errorcode?

Well, the error message says that there is a problem with the external trigger source.

I found a thread with a similar discussion which explains all the coupling and triggering behaviour very well.

Please have a look at that: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=150&message.id=1381&requireLogin=False

Hi,

The link wat you posted was informative wrt this problem, thanks for the same.

What i understood is, if i am using the CH0 itself as trigger source, AC coupling is invalid else, if i use the TRIG channel, AC coupling is one among the valid inout.

Am i correct.

Hi I am facing similar issue where the error says AC coupling is invalid however even if I set the Trigger Source to External Trigger I still receive error stating Invalid Parameter. I am using Analog Edge ref VI. I have also set the vertical coupling to AC however I get the following error:

Error -1074135024 occurred at niScope Read WDT.vi:5430001

Possible reason(s):
IVI: (Hex 0xBFFA0010) Invalid value for parameter or property.

Device: Dev3
Property: Trigger Source
Invalid Value: TRIG
Possible Values
Value: 0
Value: 1

I am using NI-5132 scope. What am I missing here?
